Večer says Maribor area losing 1,000 jobs
Ljubljana, 15 March - The newspaper Večer is perplexed at around 1,000 jobs being lost in the areas around Maribor and Ptuj in the north-east of the country, as several companies have announced lay-offs, including automotive group Magna Steyr, aluminium producer Talum and foundry MLM.
