Government Approves Higher Prices of Electricity

Ljubljana, 18 December - GOVERNMENT/PRICE/RISE/CROATIA/SLOVENIA
The Slovene government approved at its last regular session this year several price rises. Electricity prices will increase by 8 percent on 1 January 1998. Prices of wheat form national reserves will be up from 29 Slovene tolars per kilo to SIT 33 as of 1 January 1998. The purchase price of cow milk will rise 9 percent on 5 January 1998, with prices of milk for consumption being decontrolled.
