APP Approves 1422 Privatization Schemes

The Slovene Agency for Restructuring and Privatization (APP) has approved 1422 privatization schemes so far, of which the second approval was granted to 1170 enterprises, meaning that the latter have concluded the process of privatization. 240 companies are still waiting to get the second approval, the Development Fund became an owner of 69 enterprises, while 74 enterprises went bankrupt. 43 firms have not been granted the first approval yet, which is chiefly a result of denationalization complications, according to Privatization Agency acting Director Sonja Bukovec.
