Croatia Based Slovene Societies Adopt Declaration on Constitutional Amendments

Zagreb, 22 December - SLOVENIA/CROATIA/ASSOCIATION/SLOVENE/SOCIETIES
The assembly of the Association of Slovene Societies in Croatia held a session in Croatia's capital on Monday, 22 December, adopting a declaration concerning amendments of Croatia's Constitution passed on 12 December. The declaration rejects the constitutional amendment that crosses out the Slovene national minority in Croatia from the preamble. The change is unacceptable as it denies already acquired rights and is not a result of a democratic procedure.
