National Council of Carynthian Slovenes On Joint Representation

The National Council of Carynthian Slovenes presented efforts on Tuesday to elect a joint representative body of the Slovene minority in the Austrian province of Kaernten. In the news conference, NC Chairman Nanti Olip welcomed recent statements by Slovene Deputy Prime Minister Marjan Podobnik who endorsed efforts for a democratically elected representation, which however is opposed by the other central minority organization, the Association of Slovene Organizations (ZSO).
