Next Year New Method of Calculating Inflation

Ljubljana, 29 December - INFLATION/PRICES/CONSUMER/GOODS
Slovenia will next year introduce a new method of calculating its inflation rate based on the consumer price index that is being used in the European Union. The new method will replace the one based on the retail price index, which however will remain in use for the next two years, as the latter is contained in a number of laws that have not yet been changed. In turn, the consumer price index will be used for international comparisons.
