Slovenia's GDP Totals US$ 18.86 billion in 1996

Gross domestic product amounted to SIT 2553 billion in 1996 according to preliminary estimates, a nominal increase of 14.9 percent over 1995. Due to a stronger dollar the 1996 GDP according to current prices and the current exchange rate only gained 0.6 percent to US$ 18.858 billion, or ECU 15.59 or 3.8 percent, the National Statistical Office said.
