Primorski dnevnik on Slovene Minority in Friuli - Venezia Giulia

Trieste, 9 January - Slovene daily Primorski dnevnik, which is based in Trieste, comments on the commemorative session of the regional council of Italian region Friuli - Venezia Giulia. According to the daily, the session constituted an important turning point, and will be written in the history of the Slovene minority in Italy. Namely, the minority was granted the right to be represented by its member at the session and to inform regional public and speaker of the house of representatives about its needs. The recognition of such a special status to the Slovene minority was long expected by its members, Primorski dnevnik writes.
