Jožko Čuk: A Tough Year for the Economy

A key period in Slovenia's accession to the European Union, 1998 will be harder for the economy than last year. We expect the government, enjoying active support from the parliament and the central bank, to formulate a kind of macroeconomic policy that will not only allow survival but help the economy to grow, Chamber of Economy Chairman Jožko Čuk told Tuesday in his opening address to the 5th regular session of the Chamber of Economy Assembly.
