Use of Electricity Increases by 3.6 percent in 1997

Slovenia used over 9.8 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity in 1997, or 3.6 percent (340 million kWh) more than in 1996. Five direct takers of electricity (aluminium producer Talum Kidričevo, Factory of Nitrogen Ruše and ironworks Štore, Ravne and Jesenice) used nearly two billion kWh, a 4.7-percent rise over 1996.
