Ljubljana, 17 January - The Slovene government reduced the selling prices of oil derivatives, however, retail prices will remain unchanged as the sales tax on some oil derivatives was increased simultaneously. The budget will benefit 424 million Slovene tolars from the sales tax rise on a monthly basis. The government discussed and approved a bill designed to regulate the research and use of mineral raw materials. According to the bill, mining will be based on concessions granted by the government. The bill is expected to be passed by parliament in 12 to 18 months.
