Premier Drnovšek Should Establish Responsibility of Minister Turnšek

In a meeting behind closed doors, the parliamentary commission for the control of security and intelligence services (VOS) continued on Thursday evening its debate on the report by the Defence Ministry on the recent espionage incident on the Slovene-Croatian border. Committee Chairman Polonca Dobrajc said after the meeting the investigation was not yet over, but the commission had already decided to propose to Prime Minister Janez Drnovšek to assess objective responsibility of Defence Minister Tit Turnšek for the situation laid out in the report that had caused the incident involving two officers of the Intelligence-Security Unit (OVS) in the Defence Ministry.
