Delo: 'Experts at the Service of Politicians'

Ljubljana, 23 January - After a long blockade, some movement may be observed in the solving of disputed issues between Slovenia and Croatia. But the fixation of the sea border between the two countries does not seem any closer. The restraint on both sides is understandable: they are dealing with a first-class political issue. Any deviation from maximum demands may well be used by arousers of national passions on both sides of the border to shake the government. The latter seeks assistance and scapegoats with experts, while in case of Croatia it even tries to abuse them, Delo establishes in its Friday issue.
