Slovene Ironworks to Receive Help by the State one More Time

Slovene Ironworks (SŽ) may hope for the state help for the last time. The government amendment to the bill on limited privatization of SŽ envisages the state will provide the ironworks with SIT 3 billion of fresh capital this year. The same amount is to be supplied under the amendment also in 1999. Apart from that, the state can earmark SIT 6 billion of short-term credit even before this year's capitaliazation.
