Dnevnik: Less than 50 Percent Support Drnovšek's Government

Slovenia's President Milan Kučan is still the most popular Slovene top official despite a lower rating this month. Premier Janez Drnovšek, who used to follow Kučan closely, slipped to the fourth place, the lowest so far, according to a monthly opinion poll conducted by agency Ninamedia and daily Dnevnik. Drnovšek was overtaken by United List of Social Democrats (ZLSD) Leader Borut Pahor and newly-appointed Chancellor of the Ljubljana University Jože Mencinger.
