Ljubljana, 27 January - MEJAK/SUCCESSION/YUGOSLAVIA
Negotiations on succession to former Yugoslavia will resume next week in Brussels (4 to 6 February) among five negotiating teams from Slovenia, Croatia, Macedonia, Bosnia-Herzegovina and the FR Yugoslavia. As usual, negotiations will be mediated by Sir Arthur Watts. This round will be very significant, according to Miran Mejak, head of the Slovene negotiating team; issues to be discussed this time are archives and a partial division of assets, that is of eight embassies and foreign currency deposits with the Basel Bank for International Settlements (BIS).
