Delo: Fooled Again?

Ljubljana, 28 January - If a word from Croatian Economy Minister Nenad Porges carried as much weight as words by ministers in Western countries, Croatia would pay off all of its debt to the Krško N-Plant by the Krško Board session. Porges last week gave a promise to his Slovene counterpart Metod Dragonja that Croatia would pay its bill for Krško electricity. But such promises have been so far as good as none, until Croatia actually paid the money. Croats have played suchlike games ever since independence, with the Slovene government being extremely patient and indulgent. It now appears more than naive to see how we let ourselves get fooled over and over again, daily Delo writes on Wednesday.
