Government Passes Several Documents on Roads and Telecommunications
Ljubljana, 29 January - GOVERNMENT/ROADS/TELECOMMUNICATIONS
At its session on Thursday, the government of Slovenia passed the National Motorway Construction Programme Re-Balance, under which the total investment value of the 518.6 kilometers of motorway sections that have to be completed until 2004 is slightly over US$ 4 billion. To secure the necessary funds, the government also endorsed the draft gasoline tolar amendment bill, which proposes that the proportion of funds earmarked in gasoline prices for motorway construction should increase from the current 16 percent to 20 percent.
