Slovene Industry Produces More in 1997 than in 1996

The Slovene industrial production increased by 1.1 percent last December over the 1996 average, by 6.2 percent over December 1996 and fell by 6.4 percent over November 1997, according to the National Statistical Office. Last year's cumulative production surplus edged up 1.3 percent over 1996. The method of impulsive trend has showed that industrial production in December followed a growth rate of 1.25 percent, with last year's average being 0.16 percent.
