1997 Sees 10-percent Rise in Tourists in Slovenia

Ljubljana, 9 February - Slovenia was visited by 1,823,129 tourists last year, 848,779 Slovene and 974,350 foreign ones. The number of tourists increased by 10 percent in 1997 over 1996; there were 17 percent more foreign and three percent more Slovene tourists, according to the National Statistical Office.
