Weekly Review of Slovene Economy from 7 through 14 February
Ljubljana, 14 February - At its regular weekly session on Thursday, the government adopted a decree on the dissolution of the Agency for Rehabilitation of Banks and Savings Banks. The cabinet rejected the 14.5 percent electricity price hike requested by the national power provider ELES. Under the stipulations of Post Service Act it passed a resolution on the reorganization of Pošta Slovenija d.o.o., the Slovene mail, into a public company for providing economic public services in the transport of letters weighing up to 1.000 grams, postcards and telegraph messages in internal and international traffic. Considering the implementation of government orders on the salaries of public servants, the government established that contracts had been made to agree with the decree in 1002 out of 1042 institutions where the state is the major shareholder. The rest of the institutions are involved in the procedures of adapting to the orders.
