Slovenia's 1997 Exports at US$ 8.4 Billion
Ljubljana, 16 February - Slovene exports amounted to US$ 8.4 billion in 1997, while imports were at US$ 9.4 billion, according to preliminary data. The trade exchange deficit amounted to 985.9 billion, down US$ 125.7 billion from 1996. Export/import ratio was 89.5 percent, better than in 1996 when it was at 88.2 percent, the National Statistical Office says in its second, more extensive release of the 1997 trade exchange data.
