Government: Oil Derivatives More Expensive after Midnight

Ljubljana, 19 February - GOVERNMENT/SESSION
The Slovene government discussed at its session Thursday proposals relative to the citizenship policy and an explanation of the Interior Ministry about a recent visit by State Secretary in the Interior Ministry Slavko Debelak to the FR Yugoslavia. It passed two decrees, one to change the sales tax on some oil derivatives and the other on financial interventions in favour of rural areas for the first half of 1998. It confirmed a bill on war graves and sent it to parliament. Defence Minister Tit Turnšek's resignation was not discussed. Turnšek will make his decision public on Friday, according to Government PR Office Director Marta Kos.
