By staging a farce, the Slovene People's Party (SLS), together with its executive and head committees is taking huge responsibility for the good name of Slovenia. It is one thing when children play and make sand government palaces and another if we are dealing with an out-of-the-way banana republic in which its chieftain has the final saying or if the nation is making an effort to be admitted to the EU and NATO. In this last case in particular, Slovenia's manners are being carefully observed. Rules are strict outside, where it goes without saying that confidential matters are not to be exposed, Friday's issue of Dnevnik says.
