NATO Secretary General in Ljubljana - "New Phase" in Co-operation between Slovenia and NATO

The North Atlantic Alliance wants to deepen bilateral co-operation with Slovenia, NATO Secretary General Javier Solana said after meeting his host, Prime Minister Janez Drnovšek. He added that Slovenia was a very active member of the Partnership for Peace programme in 1997, announcing that 1998 will be extremely important in terms of collaboration with the Alliance as the latter will conduct its most important military exercise in Slovenia.
