Weekly Review Slovenia's Foreign Policy from 28 March to 3 April

Ljubljana, 4 April - REVIEW/FOREIGN/POLICY/WEEK
During the past week Slovenia, along with four Eastern European countries and Cyprus, formally started negotiations towards full membership in the European Union, which according to Foreign Minister Boris Frlec is a historic event for Slovenia. In its latest session, the government also appointed a ten-member EU membership negotiating team to be headed by Janez Potočnik, director of the government Office for Macroeconomic Analysis and Development.
