Delo: When a Medical Doctor Becomes a Judge

The Slovene medical doctors are undoubtedly happy with the result of the talks between Interior Minister Mirko Bandlej and representatives of Fides, a trade union of medical doctors and dentists. If the government endorses an annex to the collective agreement for medical doctors and dentists, their salaries will become comparable to the salaries of judges in the next two years, Thursday's issue of Delo says. In this manner, an agreement reached two years ago between Fides and the government, after Fides staged a strike, would be put into practice.
