Slovenia Increased the Amount of Trade in the First Two Months

Slovenia's exports amounted to US$ 1.34 billion and imports to US$ 1.54 billion in the first two months of 1998, the preliminary data show. According to the National Office of Statistics, the trade gap in the period amounted to US$ 208.9 million, while the export-import coverage stood at 86.5 percent. Slovenia's exports expressed in U.S. dollars were up by 5.9 percent and imports by 9.9 percent over the same period in 1997.
