New women's record set at Ljubljana Marathon
Ljubljana, 20 October - Kenyan runner Chepkemoi Tele won the 28th Ljubljana Marathon by setting a new women's record of the event in two hours, 20 minutes and 17 seconds, while Tamire Getaneh Molla from Ethiopia finished first among male athletes, at 2:06:29.

Joyce Chepkemoi Tele bested the event record set by Ethiopian Zinash Gerado Senbeta last year by 48 seconds.
Over 15,200 runners from a record 86 countries were registered for 10km, 21km and 42km distances today, including 2,882 for the 42-kilometre run. Over a third of the runners came from abroad.
