Minister Gaspari Speaks About Banks and Harmonization with the EU

Finance Minister Mitja Gaspari addressed some aspects of banking and insurance and their adjustment to EU standards in his speech at financial fair Kapital, opening Tuesday in Ljubljana. As serious economic and financial preparations are required before banks merge or are taken over, public announcements about the banks' merging are questionable, if made before the preparations have been concluded, Minister Gaspari commented on some topical issues relative to the Slovene banking market.
