Municipalities urged to step up efforts to reduce car use
Ljubljana, 8 January - Transport being the largest producer of CO2 emissions in Slovenia, the Environment Ministry has been urging municipalities to devise plans on how to encourage people to walk, cycle or use transport other than cars. Analyses done so far have shown that these strategies have had little impact and car use has not dropped significantly.
