Structural budget spending remains high, Fiscal Council warns

Ljubljana, 9 January - The national budget deficit dropped by around EUR 1.5 billion to EUR 808 million in 2024, but this was mainly due to lower spending on emergency measures, the Fiscal Council warned on Thursday after the government announced that last year's deficit dropped to a five-year low of 1.2% of GDP.
