Slovenians consume double the recommended amount of salt

Ljubljana, 14 January - Slovenians consume around 10 grams of salt per day, which is twice the amount recommended by the World Health Organisation (WHO), shows a study by the National Institute for Public Health (NIJZ). The institute also analysed salt content in bread and baked goods and found that it had decreased by 7% since 2012.
