Večer: When Nothing But Fines Can Change Behaviour

Changes in Slovene driving behaviour are such an exception that they have come as a total surprise since there have never been three consecutive days during which such a high proportion of motorists would observe all speed limits and traffic signs and never jump red lights. This is also confirmed by first police statistics, Maribor's daily Večer comments the new Road Safety Act that took effect on 1 May.
