Draft food bill aiming to reduce food waste, further animal-friendly farming

Ljubljana, 29 January - The proposal for a food bill, presented on Wednesday as part of agriculture reform package, was hailed by Minister Mateja Čalušić as a "comprehensive and systematic framework for food regulation in Slovenia, aimed at improving the quality, transparency, and sustainability of the entire agri-food sector". A key goal is reducing food waste.
