Blue tongue disease suspected in two locations in Slovenia
Ljubljana, 4 February - Slovenian veterinary authorities have detected two suspected cases of blue tongue disease, an insect-transmitted viral disease that affects ruminants, in Celje and in Slovenj Gradec. Because Slovenia has the status of a country free of blue tongue disease, the samples have been sent to a reference lab abroad.
