Capital of Culture urged to end collaboration with cement factory
Nova Gorica/Ljubljana, 4 February - An environmental NGO and two culture trade unions have urged the organisers of the Nova Gorica-Gorizia European Capital of Culture to suspend "unethical" cooperation with Alpacem, the Austrian-Italian company running the cement factory in Anhovo, over its pollution record. This should happen before Saturday's opening festivities.
