No progress in talks on new ombudsman candidate

Ljubljana, 5 February - President Nataša Pirc Musar is hosting a new round of talks this week with deputy groups after no consensus was reached on candidates for human rights ombudsman and central bank governor in January, but the sides are no closer to agreeing on the names. A two-thirds majority is needed for the ombudsman's appointment.
