In the first run, Prevc has the longest jump of 126 metres to take a 6.8-point lead ahead of Agnes Reisch of Germany.

In the second run, the 19-year-old withstood the pressure of the closest pursuers and scored a total of 272.1 points to claim what was her seventh World Cup victory of the season and 14th overall in her young career.

The most successful woman ski jumper in Slovenia ever told the International Ski Federation (FIS) after the win that "it is really beautiful. I enjoy jumping in Lake Placid. I'm really happy with this second win."

Prevc did not worry too much about her competitors, and only concentrated on her own jumps. "I just believed in myself and jumped," she said.

In the overall standings, Prevc is 201 points ahead of Germany's Katharina Schmid, who placed 7th yesterday. Eirin Maria Kvandal of Norway is 317 points behind the Slovenian.
