Event stresses importance of empowering women in science

Ljubljana, 11 February - Women and girls play key roles in scientific and tech communities but they still face obstacles there, heard a roundtable hosted by the STA on Tuesday to mark the International Day of Women and Girls in Science. Empowering women to pursue careers in science is an essential part of efforts to eliminate gender inequality, the participants agreed.
