Hospital completes first phase of carcinoma gene therapy clinical trial

Ljubljana, 24 February - The Ljubljana Oncology Institute, the country's leading cancer hospital, completed the first phase of the clinical trial for a gene immunotherapy treatment for basal-cell carcinoma of the head and neck, the most common type of skin cancer. The first phase has showed that the treatment is safe, feasible and tolerated well by patients.
