Constitutional Court annuls one provision of contentious animal welfare law

Ljubljana, 24 February - The Constitutional Court has annulled one in several provisions of the Animal Protection Act that were challenged by the upper chamber of parliament in December 2023 amid a controversy over the role of animal rights groups in inspection procedures at farms.
