Prime timber auction deemed success despite no new records

Slovenj Gradec, 27 February - The 19th annual auction of valuable timber in Slovenj Gradec in the north of the country netted an estimated EUR 2 million in its first round with the most expensive log, 11 cubic metres of walnut from Bosnia-Herzegovina, sold to an Austrian buyer for EUR 16,500. The auction is the largest timber auction in Central Europe.
