Slovene Troops Participate in Military Exercise Cooperative Lanteren-98
Ljubljana, 11 May - SLOVENIA/HUNGARY/MILITARY/EXECRISE
A five-day military exercise Cooperative Lantern-98 started in Balatonkenese, Hungary, on Monday. Taking place under the Partnership for Peace programme, the exercise is aimed at organizing and training international forces for international peace-keeping actions. Slovene officers operate as an independent battalion within the French Brigade. Two Slovene officers are also in the exercise headquarters, the Slovene Defence Ministry said.
