Number of EU funds abuse investigations for Slovenia up in 2024

Luxembourg, 3 March - The European Public Prosecutor's Office (EPPO) launched 18 investigations into suspected misappropriation of EU funds in Slovenia last year, totalling EUR 16 million in estimated damage, according to its annual report published on Monday. Across the EU, more than 1,500 such investigations were initiated, amounting to over EUR 13 billion in total.
