Maribor, 12 May - PRESS/SLOVENIA/MEDICINE
One needs not to make a special point of the rightness of the decision to establish Slovenia-Transplant and the possibility to integrate into the European Transplantations Network, which we have been waiting for for several years, the Maribor daily Večer writes on Tuesday. Calculations of savings with kidney disease treatment show the costs of dialysis for 300 patients amount to 14 million German marks in the first year, D-mark 140 million in ten years and over D-mark 210 million in 15 years; in case of transplantation the costs would increase by D-mark 13 million in the first year, but the savings in the next ten years would amount to D-mark 105 million and in 15 years almost D-mark 158 million.
