Alleged gangster tried for attempted murder after two decades on the run

Nova Gorica, 11 March - In a case that spans continents and decades, a 49-year-old Slovenian, who had escaped to Peru but got extradited to Slovenia during Christmas last year, appeared before a court in Nova Gorica on Monday, where he denied charges of attempted murder in connection with a 2002 gang-related shooting.
