Files on independence-era arms trade to be declassified

Ljubljana, 12 March - The parliamentary Home Policy Committee unanimously backed on Tuesday a bill declassifying files on arms trade in 1991-1994, the period when Slovenia gained independence from Yugoslavia. The bill, proposed by three MPs of the ruling Freedom Movement, was significantly altered following remarks by the parliamentary legal service.
