Slovenia Says Further Nuclear Tests are Unacceptable

The Slovene Foreign Ministry regrets the fact that India carried out nuclear test at the Pokran testing ground. Slovenia agrees with the majority of the international community, which calls attention to the unacceptability of further nuclear tests - also when other countries carried then out. The latest nuclear tests pose a threat to the efforts made by the international community designed to implement nonproliferation treaties, a Foreign Ministry press release said Wednesday. The most recent nuclear tests could unleash a new wave of arms race in South Asia.
