Cargo Transport Redirected to Motorways Next Week

Ljubljana, 15 May - TRANSPORT/CARGO/RECHANNELLING
Traffic of cargo vehicles with maximum total weight of over 7.5 tons will be directed from local roads to motorways from Tuesday, 20 May onwards. The maesure is one of the first steps in the emerging national traffic policy intended to ease traffic through populated areas, improve traffic safety and reduce negative traffic effect on the environment, the Ministry of Transport and Communications told a news conference Friday.
